The 4Earth Fall Edit is here!
The 4Earth project strikes again! But this time it’s a fresh batch of product for the Fall/Winter season. Fun fact: all of these shoes have an upper partially composed of recycled plastic bottles. Win!
The 4Earth project is an ongoing commitment by Blowfish Malibu to take a step in the right direction. As a brand, we plan to make more conscious decisions that will ultimately make a positive impact on the environment. With our 4Earth project, we will continue to dive into the process of how we manufacture, market and design our product in the hopes that we can limit our footprint on the planet. Additionally, we are proud to announce that we have greatly reduced the amount of plastic in our packaging.
We acknowledge that an estimated 300 million pairs of shoes end up in a landfill every year and know we are part of that problem. Going forward, we are committed to doing our part in order to decrease our footprint on the environment.
Additionally, for every pair of shoes sold in the 4Earth project, $1 is donated to Oceana in an attempt to clean up the world’s oceans.

Say hello to 4Earth, our newest collection of boots for fall.
Earlier this year, we acknowledged the fact that 300 million pairs of shoes end up in a landfill every year and know we are part of that problem. Going forward, we are committed to doing our part in order to decrease our footprint on the environment. We introduced the 4Earth collection, our first-ever shoes with uppers made of recycled plastic.
Additionally, we’re bringing back some of our favorite sneakers with the same upper, all perfect for the cold weather seasons.
Like our spring line, for every pair of 4Earth boots and shoes sold, we will be donating $1 to Oceana, a non-profit dedicated to cleaning up the world’s oceans. We’re excited to continue this partnership, as we realize that it’s time to step up and make a change.

See how influencers are wearing the new BALLA4EARTH style. (Hint: it’s super cute!)
This year, we wanted to make more conscious decisions that would have a positive impact on the environment. So, we set out to create the 4Earth Collection. One of the eco-conscious shoes we launched was the iconic Balla silhouette. Balla, a cut-out sandal with strappy details, features an upper made of recycled plastic bottles. Additionally, other features include a micro-wedge, distressed hardware, and an inside zipper for easy on/off. Obviously, we were so excited to get these new sandals on some feet! So, we sent the BALLA4EARTH style to some of our favorite content creators across the country, and the consensus was the same across the board. Turns out everyone thinks Balla is good for the earth AND adorable on your feet. So won’t you join us in taking a step in the right direction?

Ok, we’re obviously suckers for cute shoes. But we’re even bigger suckers for fashion that does good for the planet. Enter Marley4Earth, our first sneaker with an upper composed of recycled plastic. Some of our favorite content creators got their hands on a pair before they were released to the public (lucky ladies!). We were curious to see how they were going to style them. Step behind the scenes and check out our latest event, the 4Earth launch.
We were so excited to recently launch the 4Earth campaign, our first-ever line featuring an upper composed of recycled plastic. So we thought it would only make sense to turn the launch party into an educational experience. Not only that, but all of our LA guests were able to take home their very own pair of 4Earth shoes, so they can start taking a step in the right direction.
Hosted at Madera Kitchen in Hollywood, our team was fortunate to be able to put on an incredible panel discussion focused on how we can all take small steps to live a greener lifestyle. A variety of people in the industry also graciously spoke on the subject. We were excited to welcome Jon Frank, from Oceana, to speak about the organization we’ve chosen to partner with on this new journey for the brand.
In addition, we hosted Jannie Denney, our lead sneaker designer, to speak about the design process that went into developing this line.
After both of these wonderful representatives, we welcomed Veena Crownholm, Taylor Nolan, Danielle Nagel, Becky Beck and Jannie Denney to discuss how they are actively taking a more eco-friendly approach to both their businesses and their day to day lives.

We’re excited to FINALLY be able to share some of the Behind the Scenes content from our 4Earth campaign photoshoot. (Which took place last OCTOBER!)
In a downtown Los Angeles studio, we got together with our go-to stylist, make-up artist, and videographer to create fabulous images for the new 4Earth campaign. What’s 4Earth, you ask? 4Earth collection is a new line of some of our most iconic styles with one major change: the uppers are composed of recycled plastic. This is just the beginning for us, and going forward, we promise to do our best to ensure Blowfish Malibu shoes are good for the planet, and good for your soul.
We don’t typically do indoor studio work. Usually, we prefer natural-looking photos shot outside at various Southern California locations. But for this campaign, we knew we wanted a very specific look and feel for the imagery. We loved a solid, bright-colored background, which showed off the fresh shoe styles and California inspired outfits.
While our photographer was shooting looks, a separate team was working on creating some fun stop motion videos, which will be used on our social media pages during the campaign. (So keep your eyes out!)
Fun Fact: we drank water from the plastic bottles we used on set for the full week before the shoot (and on set), and all of the plastic bottles used for this shoot were recycled!
