Making Waves

Introduced in the Spring of 2020, the Making Waves collection features shoes partially composed of recycled plastic bottles. For this collection, we are proud to partner with Oceana, a non-profit organization which seeks to make our oceans as rich, healthy, and abundant as they once were. With this partnership, our brand is committed to providing Oceana with a $1 donation for every pair of Making Waves shoes sold. To date, we have donated over $100k to Oceana and have repurposed over 1 million plastic bottles!

Pounds of plastic we’ve repurposed so far:

#4Earth4Life

single-use plastic bottles are collected for recycling

caps are removed and bottles are sorted out by color

bottles are cleaned and sterilized

bottles are dried and shredded into small flakes

flakes are melted and pressed into tiny pellets

the pellets are then spun into thread

the thread is woven into rolls of fabric

fabric is sewn to create the upper material of the shoes

We acknowledge that an estimated 300 million pairs of shoes end up in a landfill every year and know we are part of that problem. Going forward, we are committed to doing our part in order to decrease our footprint on the environment.
